Work & Observations
The wind damage to the early snow peas did end up being too much. A few survived but the dead and dying ones are so tangled with them the only real option is to pull them out. The late crop is growing slow but still doing well though. I need to get one final support in.
The early sown farva is getting very big and the aphids seem to be contained to only 2 or three plants. The late sown is growing slow but also doing well..
Broccoli needs to be fed. Early is growing very slow and one of the late sown has finally sprouted. Beats and Carrots are hard to tell. Some are thriving while others are dying. All are growing slow and none of the final seed have sprouted. Onions & leeks are growing super strong, there is just some minor wind damage.
There haven't been many changes to the Tea and Herb Garden. Lemon grass and cilantro are doing well regardless of the multiple frost. Basil went to seed and died back; I need to dead head them. Everything else is green and dark. Even the some of the petunias are still alive which is crazy.
I spotted a massive flock of vultures roughly 36 birds riding thermal to the west of the neighborhood. They eventually moved on by 1647. There was another small flock of birds that I did not identify that flew by just before I came in and a massive murmur of a third type of bird flew over the neighborhood right when I started gardening.
