Solo Working in the back vegtable garden

Work & Observations

Took the cold overs off every and repaired the damage to the snow pea supports. I will not be putting the covers back on either them or the tea & herb garden. They didn't do much to protect from the cold with all the wind from the front. Worse the early Pisum sativum var. saccharatum (Snow Peas) have alot of damage. Some of it is frost damage but it looks like alot is wind damage from where the gusting turned the cold covers into sails.

Female Haemorhous mexicanus (House Finch)

Spotted 4 Corvus ossifragus (Fish Crows) flying NW over the neighborhood and then a small finch like bird on the bird feeders. I took a single photo of the finch like bird. [UPDATE: Bird identified as Female Haemorhous mexicanus]

Everything else seems to be doing well though I am struggling to determine which sprouts are weeds and which are Brocolli. It is especially frustrating as I have two viable plants that seem to be doing well but then the other two I planted later in the season have not seemed to sprout yet.

The pathway in the garden and the little Petunia × atkinsiana side beds that boarder the vegtable beds need to be weeded and everything needs to be fed, but the fronts have brough so much rain the soil needs to dry out a bit first.

Personal Thoughts, Sketches, and Photos

I really need to research what is getting at the Fava. I've taken several photos to show to some of the other Suffolk Master Gardeners.

I need to get a rain gauge for the garden.
